And so my thoughts, not yet concrete, still stray.

Helena is occupying them, or rather, her background still is, and it keeps changing. The simplest one is that she was raised by jesters, (her parents) they said the wrong thing about the king, and they were hung. Things go on from there. The other version would be that her father died, her mother remarried after hanging out in the brothel awhile (or she was bought by a patron) and Helena sees her towards the end of the story after everything's gone down, possibly. It just seems to me I have a plethora of orphans in the main cast and I need to do a few things to fix that. I guess it would make sense given it's a time of political upheaval and skirmishes and such, but my mind isn't leaving me alone.

I've also been RPing like no tomorrow. I guess it's just easier to come up with characters and stories when you have someone else to bounce things off of and it might be what I need to get my backstory to this hammered out. I know people are going to sit and whine it's a bunch of crap, yadda yadda, but in the end they could read worse, I suppose. I'm lacking in inspiration to do much and have no clue why. It's starting to drive me insane.

Maybe I should just break down and start posting RP-inspired AU stories here. I don't know anymore.
